Samuel Clemens High School
Eight minutes to the south of our facility is Samuel Clemens High School, where preparing students for success is the highest goal. Here, the top priority is to ensure all graduates are ready for college, the military, or a career. Making sure all students feel welcome and included is also important, and part of preparing them for success. The school has a program called Not on Our Campus (NOOC), which protects student against anti-gay harassment, racism, and all other types of intolerant behavior. NOOC encourages everyone to think inclusively.
For students who want to join the military after graduation, SCHS has a military student transition consultant, Tina Barber. Mrs. Barber helps students make a smooth transition from high school to military life. Academic tracks include advanced placement (AP), dual credit (DC), and international baccalaureate (IB). Just across the I-35 freeway from us are several shopping centers, including a big Walmart Super Center at 6102 FM 30009. It’s a fun place to take your children, whether they want to swing and slide, or cool off in a pool.

Just minutes from our location along I-35 is an entertainment complex where you can spend a few hours or a full day having fun.
