“We had two units there for years. A man came in and rented a unit next to ours and robbed us and six other units as well. Deland Storage is accepting no responsibility for his actions. They have CCTV on the outside but nothing for units inside the building. We got no apology from the owner and within the week we got the bill for the next month. I would think twice about using this facility. I will be cleaning out our unit because those folks obviously do not care about their customers but have no hesitation in raising their rates. I guess they do not have insurance to cover the loss or if they do they will not help their customers. I also wonder about security. If you want to feel secure, I would worry about having your personal things at Deland Storage. We will be finding another place for the second unit. Many things that are lost were not replaceable. We feel violated and we feel like Deland Storage did not care one bit other than letting us know that we had been robbed..”
