Tinker Air Force Base

Tinker is amajor US Air Force Base that also houses other Navy and DoD installations. Theyare primarily a supply and maintenance depot. Tinker is the headquarters of theOklahoma City Air Logistics Center, which is one of the Air Force MaterielCommand's largest units and the largest Air Logistics Center.  They are responsible for maintenance, repair,accessories, and overhaul for a variety of Air Force, Air Force Reserve, AirNational Guard, and Navy aircraft worldwide. The host unit is the 72nd Air BaseWing which provides support for the operations at the base and their tenantorganizations. Tinker is also home to the US Navy's Strategic CommunicationsWing One, which is primarily responsible for providing a secure communicationslink for receiving, verifying, and transmitting emergency messages to USsecurity forces such as the President and the Secretary of Defense.
